Rachael and Todd are possibly the most fun duo I've ever had the chance to photograph. I'd never met them before but immediately knew they were the kind of folks I'd like to know. Even though they said this was their first professional photo session, clearly, they have some modeling skills. Or ..they're just naturals. I love how much they love one another and how they just enjoy being together. And having the honor to capture that love was a privilege! We spent the afternoon catching the golden rays of the setting sun. Beginning at the San Juan Capistrano Open Spaces Park and ending at Dana Point Strands beach. These two are a coast loving, outdoor adventuring couple and I certainly hoped I captured their beauty and that of the life they live with clarity! Enjoy :)
Bristol and Brandon are my kind of couple. Strong, courageous, beautiful. They decided to have a *party* rather than a normal wedding. Instead of doing all that traditional stuff that brides and grooms typically do- they did something unique, and wonderful. They didn't have flowers, they didn't have a bridal party, they didn't have fancy centerpieces or a special letter to open to one another the morning of the wedding. They didn't sit at a special table or do a first look or cut a cake or throw a guarder. Instead of all that- they took their time to soak in their day, to celebrate their union, to converse with their guests. OH and how could I fail to mention- they ran a half marathon (or was it a marathon?) the morning of. I completely admire these two and the way they celebrated. You cannot miss the utter joy on their faces in these photos. This was possibly one of the most laid back yet FUN weddings I have ever attended and had the pleasure of capturing. They officially tied the knot at the courthouse on Leap Day. Finally- her mom made her dress- which she looked INCREDIBLE in. As a bride who wore blush- I'm all for the non-traditional colors (and ways to celebrate)!! Their party took place at the American Legion in Newport Beach, CA.
I was extremely honored to photograph these two love birds and fellow Christ followers a while back. (I know, I haven't had time to blog in FOREVER.) They have actually been married for over three years and already have three precious daughters. But in the chaos of planning a wedding they never got their marriage certificate! Here they are, three years later, headed to the Santa Ana Courthouse to renew their vows and make their commitment to one another official in the eyes of the government! They found me online and asked for a special package- they never had the opportunity to take engagement photos or professional wedding photos! So they asked if we could spend a couple hours together doing just that. Little did I (or they) know that they would need a witness to sign their paperwork. That witness became ME!! What?! What an honor and incredible experience.
You've seen these guys on my blog throughout the years... From Weddings, maternity #1, family shoots, announcements, and now maternity #3. The heart and soul of this family is so beautiful. Their passion, compassion, and love for family, the Lord, and others amazes me. I am SO excited to meet the little dude- Jedidiah Troy Flores- in a few months. Until then, we have to just gawk at these photos and bounce in our chairs with anticipation...
